A bit about the team

We have a structure where each team has a group of engineers aligned to support a specific set of customers. This means our teams really get to learn our client's systems inside out, allowing us to diagnose and solve problems quickly and win the day!
Our growing engineering team needs a Tier 1 Systems Engineer to do the following:

General support services

  • Provide IT Support Services for Windows Workloads either for on-premises or in the cloud systems for remote customers
  • Review, diagnose, manage and close all assigned tickets within SLA
  • Escalate issues when and as necessary
  • Answer inbound support calls and log tickets into our Helpdesk system

Grow by assisting other Engineers

  • Analyse tickets & find key problems to investigate & resolve root causes
  • Provide general site improvements to reduce reactive tickets (scripts, forms, upgrades)
  • In turn, you'll be mentored and supported to fast track your career development with exciting new cloud technologies

What you'll need

To be successful you'll need the following:

  • A passion for Information Technology and a proven history of solving people's computer problems
  • Clear and confident verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to translate technical speak into simple English and back again
  • An excellent understanding of the fundamentals of good customer service
  • Ability to pick up new technologies quickly
  • Attention to detail and results orientated
  • A first-rate degree (all disciplines considered)
